Our Foundations, Values, & Alignment
The JenTex Foundation:
A Pledge to Liberation
As an enterprise founded and led by a Black, Queer, Lesbian Woman, JenTex Training & Consulting is built upon an unshakeable foundation: the ultimate liberation of all oppressed people. We recognize that standard professional development frameworks often replicate the very systems of oppression they claim to address. Because of this, every single learning experience, curriculum, and keynote we craft is intentionally designed through a radically inclusive lens. We do not merely educate; we equip practitioners and organizations with the tools required to actively dismantle systemic inequities and cultivate true collective healing.
Alignment Check: JenTex Is Not For Everyone
Who We Are For:
-
Brave Leaders: Organizations and executives who possess the courage to equip their teams with the tools to affect micro, mezzo, and macro level change.
-
Radical Practitioners: Clinicians, social workers, and care professionals who are genuinely hungry to upskill their practice and revolutionize how they serve marginalized communities.
-
Systems Shifters: Those ready to invest time, resources, and energy into sustainable, long-term structural transformation.
Who We Are Not For:
-
The Performative: Organizations looking for a quick, "check-the-box" training to satisfy a mandate.
-
The Comfortable: Individuals or agencies unwilling to do the uncomfortable, systemic internal work required for true change.
-
The Status-Quo Protectors: Those who prefer the safety of traditional, colonized practice standards and are resistant to including and centering the lived experiences of marginalized communities.
our core values
1. Cultivate Extraordinary Spaces
We intentionally design transformative, memorable environments where learning is deeply felt, not just passively consumed. Every interaction with JenTex is engineered to exceed expectations, leaving participants feeling valued, safe, and profoundly inspired to act.
2. Embody Continuous Evolution
We remain perpetually curious, actively seeking new understandings and refining our methodologies as the world evolves. True expertise requires humility, and we commit to unlearning outdated frameworks while constantly expanding our own capacity to serve.
3. Disrupt and Innovate
We refuse to settle for the status quo or rely on comfortable, performative diversity metrics. By challenging conventional paradigms and pioneering new educational pathways, we create radical, forward-thinking solutions for complex systemic problems.
4. Nurture Collective Well-Being
We operate with the deep understanding that our individual wellness is inextricably bound to the wellness of the collective. We prioritize the mental health, safety, and mutual support of our community—especially the historically exploited workforce of CareGivers.
5. Honor Varied Ways of Knowing
We explicitly value and embrace diverse formats of wisdom, existence, and knowledge production, directly honoring the sacred insights of Indigenous, ancestral, and lived-experience traditions. We actively reject colonized, Western academic standards as the sole gatekeepers of truth and authority.
6. Practice Unapologetic Boldness
We refuse to shrink, compromise our message, or dilute our mission—even in the face of a political climate or federal administration that bullies organizers and organizations fighting for equity, inclusion, and liberation. We boldly take risks for systemic justice and proudly claim our space as industry disruptors.
7. Cultivate Unapologetic Joy
We actively foster and protect joy, laughter, and celebration as essential elements of our collective endurance. In a world that presents exhausting challenges, remaining unapologetically joyful is our supreme act of defiance and the fuel that sustains our movement.
